About The Author

The author was once a working student. He started his career as a volunteer reporter during the 1992 national and local elections at PBN Broadcasting Network – DZMS AM radio station in May 1992 in Sorsogon City. It began when he visited an anchorman at the company and accidentally discovered his interest in radio. He has since worked, both during and after his studies, in various positions as a broadcast reporter and host of a request-and-dedication program over DZMS, which airs every Sunday. He was a working student for five years during his college days.

He joined Sorsogon Broadcasting Corporation Channel 2 (formerly affiliated with IBC 13 Manila) in April 1995, where he had his television break as one of the field reporters and a news writer. He has since worked in various positions in that company as a production assistant, marketing and technical assistant, and cameraman.

He also had stints in other local radio and television stations, such as Radio Sorsogon Network – DZRS AM, and became a producer of a TV show entitled “Kumusta Ka Bicolandia,” formerly aired on CBCP-SMS Channel 11 (formerly affiliated with TV5), where he became a blocktimer with host and veteran journalist Mr. Bobot Laguna.

After seven years of working as a Liaison Officer at YSA Skin Care Corporation in Pasig City, he returned to the media industry as a cameraman for blocktime TV shows entitled “Ultimatum,” formerly aired on IBC 13, and “Special Report,” formerly aired on PTV 4, hosted by Mr. Eroll Dacame, President and CEO of ECD Global Media Service, a TV production company based in Valenzuela City that was later transferred to Baguio City, where he has worked from 2008 to the present.

In 2016, the former ECD Global Media Service changed its name to Dark Horse TV Production. Using its platform, it launched an online TV channel called Leader News Philippines, owned by Mr. Dacame, which continues to operate up to the present.

He was also a reporter for DZRV Radyo Veritas in 2018 and transferred to DZRJ Radyo Bandido after his resignation. He later returned to work as a reporter for DZRV Radyo Veritas, where he continues to serve up to the present.

He was one of the judges in the media category during the 2017 National Schools Press Conference in Pagadian City, recognized by the Department of Education.
