EPD AND UNILAB, INC. JOIN HANDS TO PROMOTE POLICE PERSONNEL’S HEALTH AND WELLNESS

The Eastern Police District (EPD), in partnership with Unilab, Inc., conducted the “Unilab Corporate Bayanihan sa Kalusugan Program” on September 25, 2026, at the EPD Multi-Purpose Hall, Caruncho Avenue, Barangay Malinao, Pasig City.

The medical mission was conducted in line with the PNP Morale and Welfare Program, particularly in promoting the health and well-being of police personnel, and as part of the Unilab, Inc.’s 80th Anniversary celebration. The activity benefited a total of 250 EPD personnel from the District Headquarters (DHQ), PaMaMariSan CPS, and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB).

The activity was graced by PBGen Roman C Arugay, District Director, EPD, together with the members of EPD Command Group, District Staff, and other officers. The Unilab, Inc. was represented by Mr. Gilbert T Robiso, Patients Activation and Compliance (PACT) Specialist, along with its team of medical professionals.

During the medical mission, EPD personnel availed themselves of free Annual Physical Examination (APE), including Complete Blood Count (CBC), blood pressure, random blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and bone density screening. Participants also received starter doses of selected medicines and vitamins, access to discounted on-site purchases, and digital compliance programs through partner drugstores.

“The health and well-being of our personnel remain among our priorities. This initiative is a meaningful part of the PNP Morale and Welfare Program, as it provides our police officers with accessible healthcare services and encourages them to prioritize their health while continuing to serve and protect our communities,” PBGen Arugay stated.

The activity underscores the PNP’s continuing commitment to the welfare of its personnel and highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in providing healthcare support and promoting the health, morale, and readiness of police officers in the performance of their duties.
