Marking a historic first in its agency history, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) is presenting a landmark budget request to Congress to power the construction of the state-of-the-art Philippine International Exhibition Center (PIEC).
This monumental step underscores the national significance and unprecedented scale of a project poised to transform the Philippines into Asia’s premier hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE), driving a massive wave of long-term economic growth, job creation, and international investment.
Rising on an 81,810.57-square-meter PRA-owned waterfront site in Pasay City, the PIEC represents a transformative catalyst for national prosperity. Designed to directly support the National Tourism Development Plan and MICE Roadmap 2030, the facility will dramatically elevate the country’s event-hosting capacity—energizing tourism, strengthening local enterprises, and opening new avenues for global commerce.
The world-class architectural complex spans 243,000 square meters of total floor area, featuring over 130,900 square meters of convention and exhibition space, a massive 140,000-attendee theater capacity, room for 7,000 standard exhibition booths, a 70-meter building height, and a signature 7,422.85-square-meter rooftop garden integrated into a vibrant public realm.
Slated for completion in April 2028, this visionary project stands as a proud testament to the nation’s expanding capabilities, setting a new benchmark for infrastructure that delivers sustainable economic benefits for all Filipinos.
